The in Wanchese, North Carolina recently had the pleasure of hosting Bill Farrior’s 1998 55’ Viking Yacht, Job Site in preparation for the 2013 fishing season.  Under the careful guidance of Yard Manager Jim Polatty this Viking was set to undergo a full make-over to include significant upgrades.  The end result would deliver a whole new boat back to the Morehead City Yacht Basin in plenty of time for the Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament.

A good paint job does far more than make for a brand new look, good paint protects and preserves the underlying bones and so Job Site was ensconced in the tallest building in Dare County and received the works.  Up top, Bluewater’s OBX (Outer Banks, North Carolina) crew custom installed a jump seat on the flybridge and new spreader lights built-in to the hard top.  Underneath, new under water lights were installed as well as a few minor enhancements and updates throughout.  The cockpit then underwent the mezzanine retrofit which included a modification to the ladder access to preserve the original design functionality.

Even a little updating can enhance the comfort and fish-ability of your boat, not to mention going a long way to maintaining its fitness and keeping you on the water.  As we move into a whole new season and look towards the next, now is a great time to consider your “wish list.”  Drop on by one of our yards and see what we can do to help you with that -whether it is a whole make-over or just a little “tweak”- we do that.
